Our Story

Hi! We are Chris and Shayna Martin. Together we founded Mons Carta. We design apparel and home goods that showcase minimalist designs and topographical maps to inspire all people to get out there and have an adventure. We hope to spread our passion for the great outdoors with you as you shop our brand.

Featured on some of our designs you'll find the Bible verse reference "Psalm 24:1" which reads "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it." We believe God designed our world with beauty. When we stand looking up at a mountain or looking down from a viewpoint we are in awe of God's glory.

 

 

To help you get to know us a little more, here are some key pieces of our story. We fell in love in College in Oregon and got married in the summer of 2014. Chris works in public education and Shayna was a social worker for several years before being blessed with her dream job of becoming a full-time mama in 2021. We love hiking, camping, snowboarding and exploring new places with a hot cup of coffee in our hands. 

We have always dreamed of starting a business that incorporates our love of adventure and the great outdoors that can fit in with the practicality of life. Mons Carta is that dream come to fruition.
